ABOUT THE AUTHOR   5 comments

Thank you for stopping by Quiet Streams.  The author of all the material contained here is not a member of the clergy nor has he had any formal spiritual training other than church Sunday school.

The writings are all, I believe, Holy Spirit inspired as all Holy Scripture is, and are not meant to be anything more than additions to one’s daily bible study or reading.   Many come from true personal experience, others come from observation of life in general and all are meant to encourage the reader, whether a long time Christian, or a newly baptised one to trust In God’s one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

I encourage readers who are not members of a Christian church that teaches about God’s love through Jesus to earnestly seek and choose one and attend on a regular basis.

Comments are welcomed and will be treated with respect.  Thanks again for stopping by and I hope that you will visit often.

  1. I don’t know if you’re still around, but I wanted to stop by and let you know that I finally made it to the Courir de Mardi Gras! I spent Sunday with a wonderful family in Church Point — we chased the chicken, danced, ate gumbo, and did all the other things that are so wonderful and fun.

I hope you do see this. I had saved that hour-long video you sent me, and watched it every now and then. Anyhow, I have a current post up about the music, and will be posting another piece with photos of the Courir.

Happy Mardi Gras, and all best wishes!

    • Well, hello. Yes. I am still around, but I’ve kind of retired from blogging. I felt like I wasted a lot of my time creating brilliant essays that only you cared about! Maybe one day I’ll get the bug again. As always. thanks for stopping by. Jay

      • Oh, hooray! Let me say again, I had the best time at Church Point. Next year, I’m going back, but will spend Sat-Tues and see even more.

Next up is the Saturday morning jam at the Savoy Music Center in Eunice. I’ve scoped it out and know where it is, so I’m ready to go. Everything’s a little topsy-turvy now, because of some real-life issues, but I’ll get there.

      • Great! I’m glad you enjoy Acadiana. It’s my favorite place in Louisiana. My daughter sent me pictures of our granddaughter chasing the chickens, I believe in Milton, LA. Have a great time. Jay

      • Hi. We were in Lafayette this past weekend for our granddaughter’s first communion. The weather was great and we had a great time.
